Just wanted to give feedback on my first Apple purchase apart from the iPad and to, hopefully, stop people making the mistake I made!
Firstly what a beautiful piece of kit the iMac is. I have just received my new iMac with built in vesa mount and gosh it is lovely and I can not wait to get to grips with it. I just can not recommend it too highly. Additionally my first contact with Apple support was fantastic. Compare with Dell (you can't with Microsoft! Has anybody ever talked to Microsoft support without paying for it!)
One negative though. Why oh why do they promote, by offering on their web site, the Bretford MobilePro Wall Mount. This is an absolutely horrible piece of equipment and I have basically wasted 150. It is everything that Apple is not. Ugly, clunky and badly designed and when mounted the iMac screen is a minimum of 21 cms from the wall, which is crazy. I have gone out and ordered from Amazon a Vogels Wall 1025 S Support which is the sort of wall support they should be recommending and costs half as much.
SO THE REASON FOR THE POST BUY THE IMAC BUT DON'T BUY THE BRETFORD WALL MOUNT!
