Help a confused newbie. When you answer, do not get too technical, as I am only mildly computer literate. I used to use Macs years ago long before iMacs. My sister gave me this one. It is not new. She had the desktop so messed up and cluttered, and since I did not want her "stuff", I decided to erase the hard drive and reinstall the original operating system. It seemed to install ok (it is system 9), but when I try to get on aol, I do not have the up to date welcome screen, cannot get on the web. I can use email ok, but when I try to open a web site, the window comes up ok with the title at the top, but it never does open the page. So, I can't go to aol and get updates since I can't open the sight. I think the version of aol says version 5. What is the current version of aol that should operate? Is there something in the control panel or somewhere I have off or on when it should not be. It is a direct phone hook up, slow, but it works on my PC ok. Also, problem two, I just got a new (old stock) Samsung ML2851ND laser printer that should be compatible with this version of Mac software, but I can't seem to get the software to load properly. It says installation successful, but when I go to the chooser to select the printer, it is not there. Again am I doing something wrong. I called a Samsung tech, and she wanted me do download new software, but since I can't get on the web, I can't do that. 
Any help appreciated, wonder if there is someone real knowledgable near Columbus, OH. Maybe they could walk me through it.
