I was updating OS earlier. We had a storm....don't know if that had anything to do with it as I wasn't in the room with the computer. When I went back in, the computer was off. I have tried restarting it and it keeps trying to restart in Parallels with Windows and I have a windows message (not odd there - Windows crap) that it is missing something and I will have to re-install it. What's going on? I've tried starting up with my CD that came with the computer but it won't do that either.

Do you have any idea if the power went out during the update? The worst case is you're going to have to do an archive and install of OS X.

No power outage

The power did not go out during that time. Isn't there some way I can restart the computer with my OS X disk that came with the computer?
