Hello all,
I'm thinking of buying a second 27" 2011 imac to use for multi tasking while video editing.
However I would like it to serve more then one purpose at once... not sure if I can do that.
1. A secondary display. What a great match!
2. Mutli tasking (assembling image sequences, rendering video clips, ect.)
Can this set up accommodate both at the same time?
This guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHlmGSQr53s) presses "cmd f2" to switch back and forth, but can you set up a render on one computer and have it run in the background while you switch back to dual monitor mode for editing?
Better yet could I run all software on one computer and then just command the other one to use its processor and ram to do some heavy lifting while I edit? This would be the best method because I my Adobe license will not allow me to run their software on two CPUs at the same time.
Thanks!
~Scott
