FedEx is delivering my new iMac next week. I can pre-sign for the delivery, but I don't want a box screaming "IMAC INSIDE" on my apartment doorstep.

Does it come in a brown box, or the box I see them in the Apple store?

Received mine last week: double-boxed w/ brown box over iMac box.

The brown box not only keeps the contents unadvertised, but also prevents damages (believe it or not). I worked in the shipping industry, and the glossy packages were difficult to hold on to, for one, but also slide off belts occasionally, and down chutes too rapidly always.

yeah, but MP's ship in their original boxes.

Here it is.

Mac Pros ship in their Apple Box because its very sturdy, Apple's other products "laptops, imac/mac mini, ipods etc) ship in brown boxes with the actual Apple Box inside it.
Yeah a Mac Pro does come in its own box. The other Apple hardware comes in a brown outer box with the glossy, colorful one inside. I haven't gotten a Mac Pro in months now. ;)

Thanks for the reminder.

When I went and purchased my iMac from the Apple Store I was carrying the huge, white box to the car and bumped (literally) into a girl I used to work with. She looked at me and said "Oh, hiya! What are you doing here then?"

I'm buying a selection of hats and fine linens as you can see by this HUGE WHITE BOX WITH AN APPLE LOGO AND "IMAC" WRITTEN ON THE SIDE!!! :p

She' a lovely girl but not the sharpest knife in the drawer, it has to be said.

Yeah--my iMac was delivered by FedEx in a plain brown box--don't think it even said Apple on it. Inside was the pretty white iMac box.:)
