Just to satisfy my own curiosity I went on ebay and started pricing imacs. much to my surprise the 2010 and 2011 were selling really close to what I could get a late 2012 for.

Maybe the good deals are just hard to come by? Buying used from ebay didnt seem like such a great deal really.

go to the Apple store and look into a refurbish iMac. you get the full warranty and the option to purchase AppleCare .

I hope so. Do you know how much I just spent on my new one!
I think you will be lucky to find one on the apple refurb site at this time. All the 2011 models disappeared some time ago.

Yea if I manage to find one im pretty happy about what their resale value is. I have some apple gift cards so either i can check out the refurbished or save up for 2012 model.

Just a tip though, just because you see something on eBay listed for something, it doesn't mean that they are actually managing to getting it sold for that price so make sure to check that they have bids!

when you are ready to buy , just keep checking a few times a day . they come up all the time but they move real fast .
