Hi all,
Okay, having some home networking headaches.
I'll try & explain this in a way that makes sense...
Involves two iMacs, both running latest Yosemite & direct connected to router via ethernet.
iMac #1 has printer directly connected to it & it is all set to share printer & the Mac is set to appear on the network.
iMac #1 can see & access iMac #2 and can screen-share etc.
When opening a new Finder window on iMac #1 iMac #2 shows up in the side-bar as expected.
Running the app 'iNet Network Toolbox' on iMac #1 shows iMac #2 as being on the network.
Now the problems... iMac #2 will not print to the shared printer. I have removed and re-added the printer through preferences but still it will not print. The error given is 'Unable to locate iMac #1- local'
When I open a new Finder window on iMac #2 iMac #1 does not show up in the side-bar.
When I run a network search on iMac #2 using iNet iMac #1 does show up.
Any suggestions peeps??? I'm baffled.
