Hi, I've got a small office network consisting of 4 imacs (3x 24" running 10.5.8 and 1x 27" running 10.6.3) and two PCs (1 running Win Xp Pro and the other runs W2K).
Until a couple of days ago all the machines were communicating fine with each other. One of the 24" iMacs has a shared external USB HDD attached to it. Unfortunately, all of a sudden all the other iMacs cannot now connect to this machine.
The Windows machines can still see the shared drive just fine.
All the computers share a broadband connect and all have the internet running fine. I can also screen share with the troublesome iMac from any of the other iMacs. All the other iMacs are able to connect to each other just fine as well, which suggests to me the network/cabling is OK.
I can connect to the shared drive from the other Macs using Command-K and typing in the IP address, but this connection is quickly lost.
Has anyone got any ideas what may have happened/may be going on/how to fix this?
Many thanks.
