I have a problem where if i have an image on my screen for a while, and i change to a different window etc, the image remains burned onto my screen as a kind of imprint, and fades slowly. I saw it being referred to as 'permanance' on the Apple help site, and i followed their instructions but to no avail. Any tips for this one, guys?

My mistake, it was called 'persistence.'

Its a little difficult to make out, but my camera isn't all that good. This is basically my desktop visible even though I'm on the internet. Shows up better on darker images though.

wow thats weird.

my suggestion is to take it to apple store and get them to replace the screen

I had the same problem on my iMac. It was much worse, but the Genius Bar at my Apple Store replaced my screen for free.

Okay, thanks for the advice. Guess I'm gonna have to bring my macbook to the genius bar... well if replacing the screen solves the problem then I'll report back.
