Image capture cannot save in PNG format - High Sierra

I'm always getting the error that there aren't enough disk space to save my scan if I select PNG as the format.

No problem when saving as PDF or TIFF.

Cannot save as PNG when selecting iCloud Drive as the location or any of my hard drive folder (which is APFS formatted). I also tried with an external drive MacOs Extended formatted, same problem.

Anyone with this problem? How do I report this bug to Apple?
