image capture deleted photos then crashed

Hi

i'm new here. I have just got home from a two week vacation. Jetlagged....plugged the iphone4 into the computer...launched image capture and downloaded my snaps into i photo....didn't realise that "delete after importing" was on.....Launched i photo and no pics !!!!!!!

i have looked all over the internet and this forum. Other people have had the same problem . Are the pics somewhere on my hard drive ? ( took 15 mins to download ) can they be recovered off the phone ?

any answers would be most gratefully received

Image Capture defaults to downloading loose images to the Pictures folder on your Mac. That would be the first place I would check. Good luck!

Hi Thanks for the reply

i had I photo selected as the app to download to. The pictures seem to be nowhere. Can i un deleted them from the phone ? does jailbreaking then running disc recovery work ?
