image capture from a DVD

Hi,

I need to get an image from a photo gallery on a DVD.

I only need one. It is for a school project that my niece is doing.

Is there any program to do it for free. because I'll never need it again.

I googled it a lot but didn't get any of those.

The VLC one is the best, but any idea why it won't save the image as a jpeg like I asked it to in Preferences?
