Image Capture stopped recognising scanner

Hi there,

I've been using my scanner (also printer) for years- Epson Stylus CX3100- and it suddenly stopped working mid-scan....

I've turned it on and off, but my image scanner also won't open properly. It opens but the tools won't come up- ie. dpi, file name etc, only the screen, as though it is frozen. So I can't Overview or anything.

I'm not sure if it my Scanner or computer that is the issue...? Anyone have any tips?
