im trying to scan something but image capture seems to be missing from my computer. i cant find a place to download it, can anyone help me find a download somewhere?

No it should be in /Applications and called "Image Capture".

To the OP no-one can make it available for download: it is copyrighted Apple software and Apple are the only ones with a re-distribution license. You might well be able to use Pacifist to extract it from your system restore DVD.

Then use Pacifist, as recommended twice, if you do still possess the Leopard DVD. Or you could try the Combo Updater for 10.5.8 and see if that installs Image Capture.
