Ok so I have been experiencing I weird little problem lately with my late 2011 MBP 13". Every so often when clicking a picture as its loading I get this weird distortion on the image. It seems to happen with larger resolution images mostly, and after image loads fully it displays the image fine.

It is not a huge deal, as it only happens every so often, and corrects itself quickly...I just want to make sure it is not a sign of hardware failing/GPU issues. Anyone have any idea what is causing this?

Attached a picture of what I am describing. '

Thanks!

Not sure if its related, but I had lots of similar experience with image distortion, and also tearing/lag while scrolling in Safari.

Switched to Chrome and have since not had this problem, pages load quickly with no lag. I think it must be a Safari problem. Its a shame because I like the functions/look of that browser
