Image load time

Anybody else noticing a lag in high resolution image loading in the Photo app? (Regular iPad photo app, not iPhoto).

So far the new iPad is awesome, but this 2-3 second delay between loading the image in some kind of low-res state and going full-res is nagging me.

I opened to tabs with high resolution wallpapers and the device struggled and got stuck a bit. The addition to high resolution content will be a struggle. Hopefully Apple will be able to optimise the device through software so that the GPU gives some assistence to heavy image loading.

I hope they can come up with some kind of fix for this. Image quality is stunning, though.

Image editing is all CPU muscles which is a shame that they didn't beef up the CPU but I'm confident many of the bugs and performance issues will be sorted out once Apple have understood how people use the device.
