Hi everyone
Suddenly the image quality om my macbook pro started going fubar. I started noticing that everything on facebook looked so bad, and then i started to realize that it was all images/pictures and everything that was bad while browsing. I then tried loading up some HD movies that used to be totally pixel perfect, and now they look pretty bad too(quciktime)

Anyone know what this could be and how to resolve this?

I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.7 on a Macbook Pro from late 2008 (Unibody)

Could you have changed the screen resolution? Have a look in System Preferences > Displays.

Checked zoom : No help.
Checked resolution: Correct, so no help.
Checked when using the 9600M GT and when using the 9400M. : No help.

you could try posting a screenshot for us to determine if the problem is in your video card (your screenshot will show up borked for us as well) or your monitor (your screenshot will show up fine for us).

Can you post a screenshot? So we can see where the problem is (We may or may not see the problem depending where it is)

Edit : Beaten to it, should have refreshed.

Here you go with a screenshot:

What is most noticable to me is my profile picture on facebook that is completely pixeled out, and like everything on vimeo looks weird. Especially the smiley logos, the upload a video logo and get facebook connected logo.

If you want me to upload it elsewhere, let me know.

Alright. Your screen resolution is correct for a MacBook Pro 15" and your video card is fine.

HOWEVER: it does seem that your ISP is re-compressing some of the media that goes to you. You should investigate that :)

Thank you very much, you guys are most helpful!
So what you are saying is that it is my internet provider that recompresses the pictures i receive and that is why the images look weird?
I will call my provider and see what they have to say then :)
