Hi,

I work in a University and I am in charge of the majority of the mac labs we have. Currently i just deploy my OSX images manually. I have a mac mini server now and I am trying to get to grips with how to image a mac and deploy that image to other macs over the network.

I have done this for years in windows with great ease, the only reliable sort of software i have found for mac is deploystudio, however I am having some problems with this. I was wondering if anyone was aware of any other way to do this or if that is pretty much the only way to go?

I realise that it's not really that popular to do things this way but it seems more efficient than doing it manually if i can get it working.

The macs i run are all dual boot but I am only interested in deploying OSX just now, once i sort that out i will look further into the best way to deploy windows onto the macs too.

If anyone has any advice that would be great, a lot of the info online is years old or has no replies which leads me to think not that many people work like this, I am aware it would be much easier to just support OSX or Windows but for many of the courses we need both OS.

Thanks
