IMAP Hotmail in MacMail

Hey guys, so basically on my iphone i have hotmail set up as a microsoft exchange account which works on imap, so i get all my folders and stuff. Is there a way to do the same thing in mac mail?

I did mroogle first but the only answers i found were for pop3

That's because Hotmail doesn't support IMAP for Apple Mail.

how to configure hotmail with imap settings in mail 4.2

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble attempting to get IMAP Hotmail on my iPhone, any tips as to how to do it?

Setup hotmail as a Microsoft Exchange account, then under username and pw, put those in and leave domain blank. Then hit next. When server shows up put m.hotmail.com and thats all.
