IMAP or POP for Blackberry + Macbook

So I have a Blackberry Pearl (8130) and a Macbook and I am using Gmail as my main email service and I am using the Apple Mail app as my main mail application on my Macbook. Here is the dilemma I have run into regarding my mail, do I set it up as:
- POP on my Blackberry and POP on my Macbook?
- IMAP on my Blackberry and POP on my Macbook?
- POP on my Blackberry and IMAP on my Macbook?
- IMAP on my Blackberry and IMAP on my Macbook?

I personally find myself do my main emailing off my Blackberry but I do occasional ones off my Macbook. The one thing I heard is IMAP + Gmail isn't fully support for mobile phones so it technically wouldn't be PUSH email for my Blackberry so I think POP would be better for it.

So which one? I think POP for Blackberry and IMAP for Macbook but I don't know!

IMAP, IMAP, IMAP. I have found that IMAP is the only way to deal with checking email from multiple devices.
