Hello,

I bought an Iphone 4s when I went to U.S. Then because of my intense schedule, I could not find time to register my IMEI number and now I received a message that because of the reason that I have not registered my IMEI number, my phone is going to be blocked. Currently, I am not able to register it. Because according to what my telecommunication company said, I had to register it within the 31 days after I entered the country. But it has been about 8 months that I entered the country. Therefore no longer exists a legal way to register my IMEI number.

I started searching for ways of changing the IMEI number. It seems like there does not exist a software to do it. I do not know if it is because IMEI number is stored in a read only memory or because it is such a difficult operation and most of the hackers do not want to spend their time on this subject or because only I am not looking for the right place. Does there exist a software to change Iphone 4S' IMEI number?

If a software does not exist, then I think hardware hacking may be a solution to my problem. I predict that on the motherboard there must be something like a GSM module and if I change it, my IMEI number should change automatically. However I could not find anything regarding to this topic. Does anyone of you know anything about this topic?

And the last one is Gevey. I did not search much for it. But according to many comments I read, it is a buggy solution. There are many complains at the forums and the google groups about Gevey. Do you recommend me to give it a try anyway?

Any effort to help will be appreciated.

Regards,
Bachmann

Note: I know that changing IMEI number is illegal and all the responsibility belongs to me.
