I was given an iPhone 4S from my brother that has an IMEI unlock... It was his old phone he used. I want to restore since I notice the battery seems to be draining a bit too quick. Will restoring it remove the unlock or do I just have to follow the steps used for the IMEI unlock the first time it was unlocked? Basically I'm asking if I will loose my unlock if I restore?

If it was imei unlocked you can restore and update firmware without losing your unlock.

Nice! Thanks... I just came from using a 3GS that was unlocked by the antique "ultrasnow" so all this IMEI unlocks on the new phones is a bit confusing. Thanks!
