I picked up an iPhone 5, and in doing so also transferred from o2 to T-Mobile in the UK, but my PAC code didn't go through until today to move my old mobile number.

Now, iMessage is being silly. In the settings for iMessage I have two items listed for Send/Recieve, my phone number and email. Crucially, only the email address has a tick next to it, the phone number is greyed out and lacks a tick.

I've tried to turn iMessage on and off multiple times, reset my network settings and nothing works. So, anybody know how I can get iMessage to enable itself with my phone number?

My wife had this issue today, she cured it by turning iMessage off, turn phone off for 30 minutes or so, turn phone back on then turn iMessage back on.

No guarantee it will work for you but worth a try?!

Didn't work, but I eventually did a complete restore from my iTunes backup that fixed the problem once the phone had been through activation again.
