iMessage and Apple CarPlay Questions/Issue

So I just got my iPhone 14 Pro and for some reason I’m not receiving text message notifications when I connect my phone to my car / CarPlay.

I also noticed when I go into settings>Notifications>Messages …there’s no toggle/option for CarPlay like it used to be.

I see there is an option “To Announce Messages” I turned that on and messages still doesn’t come through on CarPlay.

Do anyone know how I can get the messages to come through?

I’m also on the latest iOS firmware.

There should be an option in the Settings in CarPlay (on the car) to enable message notifications.

That happened to me on the first day of 16.2, but has since resolved itself. Can’t tell you how or why, but it did.
