iMessage and FaceTime not working on iPhone 4S with Straight Talk?

I got my girlfriend an iPhone 4S and set her up with straight talk everything else is working fine I did the custom apn settings and web and even mms is working, but I can't get iMessage or FaceTime working. It's stuck on waiting for activation for both. Also her number does not show up as one of the places to receive her iMessages at just her email addresses and the same for FaceTime. Any idea on what I should do?

Try just waiting a while (several hours). Apparently iMessage and FaceTime activation is done by sending a 'silent' SMS to some Apple activation number, and this apparently takes a while with Straight Talk.
