iMessage and photos

Did everyone's iMessages sync up from iCloud?
I got a blank screen, no old texts. And only photos coming up are photo stream, not Camera roll even though I can see it in icloud settings, 8gb worth.
Also no Apps downloaded either.

It sounds like you chose to setup as a new phone rather than to restore from iCloud.

Your messages, apps, and camera roll won't be restored if that is the case. You should have contacts, calendar, notes, etc.
