iMessage Bug with iOS 18.x and iOS 26 - contacts display as number then displays their name after a few seconds

I was on the latest iOS version, before iOS 26 came out. When I exit the iMessage app then open the iMessage app, all my contact name resets to their phone number for a few seconds and then their names appear. I upgraded to iOS 26 thinking the problem would resolve but it's still there...

How do I fix the issue?
