iMessage deleting messages 11.4 iPhone X

So I just got my iPhone X back from getting fixed with 11.3 bricking it and it came back updated to 11.4. Got it all set up again and it's been frustrating me with iMessage. I select a picture to send, write out a message and then when I hit send it only sends the text and removes the picture from the message.

Has anyone else noticed this?
