iMessage delivered

Hi I have a 5s and sent a message to someone but did not get a delivered confirmation. However on my iPad air it says delivered. So what's going on here? Thanks
 
I think iMessage might be having issues today... Sometimes they go through as iMessages sometimes as standard SMS messages for me.. Just today though.
