iMessage display issue on my MBP

I posted in another Mac forum but meant to post here, with more traffic. Been dealing with a small issue tonight and can't seem to fix it on my own.

Seems that my iMessage window that shows contact info and the last message sent in the convo is missing?

I have tried everything I could think of but can't seem to fix the display issue at hand. Don't believe this is normal any thoughts ?

There's a draggable separator bar between the contacts and the messages. If you drag it too far to the left it will snap to the contact pictures. You should be able to drag it back to the right.

Hey thanks for the reply! I cannot seem to drag it back to open the box again. I will keep trying though
