iMessage doubled

Strange thing noticed after update to latest beta of 14.6.

When my wife sends me iMessage from her iPhone X, I get message doubled ( or even tripled ). Whats strange is if I send iMessage to her (iPhone 11 > iP X ), she gets only one iMessage.

Whats causing this?

Try deleting the thread you have with her and starting it over. This has worked for my wife and I. The only difference was her company phone and personal phone would combine our threads anf then when I sent her a message it would randomly choose one of her phones. Messages has it's quirks sometimes. Could also be the beta you are running causing the issue.

Already tried this more than once. No luck.

Then all I can think of is it’s the beta you are runniing. Only started after you updated to it.
