Hi,

Today I sold my iPhone 4S, tomorrow I'll buy an iPhone 5. It will be on a new provider and with a new phone number. I restored my 4S and sold it to the buyer. Nothing new thus far.

I use FaceTime and Messages on my Mac (which syncs with both my phone number and iCloud mail), and wanted to turn both off because the old phone number was still in there. Now, when I turn it back on, it auto thinks I still have that same phone number (which I won't as of tomorrow with my new contract), and I can't edit that number anywhere.

How am I gonna fix this?

Thanks!

make sure to use email as your caller id for ft and imsg. because email doesnt change, so when someday u change your number, the ft and imsg should work just fine even without telling people about your number being changed. this saves alot of hassle.
