iMessage hack

Today I tried to open iMessage on my fully-updated SE and on launch a screen opened asking me to click a button to approve an unspecified purchase. I went through the complete hierarchy of resets and nothing worked until I reset all settings in Settings.

What purchase? Is this Apple Pay Cash related (you can perhaps disable Apple Pay settings)? Screenshot perhaps?
