Hello,

I have been experiencing an intermittent issue with iMessage and FaceTime on my new 14" M2 Pro MacBook Pro.
I'm not sure if this is the correct section for discussing this issue. I had previously experienced the same issue with my old MacBook (Late 2016) but I seemed to have found a solution to the issue by increasing the DHCP Lease Time on my router to the recommended 8 hours (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202068).

The issue is this:
While iMessage and FaceTime work for the most part, when I'm doing another activity such as watching a movie and haven't sent a message for a while or received a call, the computer stops getting notifications for FaceTime calls and messages. It's still connected to the internet but it seems as if the connection "times out" (not sure if this is the correct term). My iPad and iPhone would ring but the computer will not nor receive iMessages unless I try to send a message, after which it seems to establish a connection for iMessage and FaceTime again. Even tough the first message I send after some time of inactivity takes forever to be sent until the whole thing "wakes up".

Any idea on how to overcome this issue?

Thank you
