iMessage Issue (WatchOS6)

Wondering if anyone else is having the following issue, and if so, were you able to fix it?

Issue: When I tell Siri to send a message to someone everything goes as planned and it listens to the dictation, and shows me the message that's to be sent...aka "Ok, I'll send this:" The options following that are to click the crown or click "Don't send". This is where my issue starts, I'll click the crown and the message will send but it doesn't actually show up in the messaging app on my phone so I have no confirmation of it being sent.

I ended up sending the same message to my wife three times last night because I was thinking it didn't work as I didn't see the message on my phone. I sent it twice through my watch and then finally I just typed it out...turns out she got all of them and wondered if there was something wrong with me.

I've tried all the usual fixes, un-pair/re-pair, hard reset of the phone and watch, and nothing has worked so far.

is your wife also on iOS and using iMessage? (showing as blue in the message app)

does the message show as sent in the messages app on the watch?

is messages turned on in iCloud (click your pic at top of main settings app on the phone, then iCloud, and make sure messages is enabled)

This issue only started when watchOS 6 entered the picture
