iMessage looks different on my Mac

Just curious, was there an update to iMessage that makes the contact screen on the left look different?

My sister sent me a text and all of a sudden my iMessage screen looks a little odd

Does this look right? I remember being able to see pieces of conversation as well as contact info in the left hand box, no idea what's wrong lol

Hey thanks for the response! Yeah for some reason I cannot get that box back open again. I have tried moving the curser to the right but with no luck.
