iMessage move

hi there

my last to do item in my 2017 imac setup is to move iMessage history, hoping someone here can help

i currently have a 2011 iMac on Sierra, and wanting to move all my iMessage history/data to the new 2017 iMac.

i've come across articles on the web on how to do it, but they present a different folder structure between the two, even though they are both on sierra

2011 iMac - user > myname > library > Messages: which has one folder <attachments> and 3 files chat.db, chat.db-shm and chat.db-wal

2017 iMac - user > mymane > library > Messages > plugins >
then 7 folders (2 each for AIM, Bounjour, and Jabber), then iMessage.impreferencepane > content > etc

so... help??
