Hey guys

After updating to Mavericks I've noticed there's no more bounce or little "1", "2", etc showing on the iMessage icon in the dock...

Read around the net and it seems Apple took that feature away? Is this serious?

I mean that's seriously a reason for me to downgrade back to ML...

Thanks,
Elliott

Hi,

no more bounce I think, but for the "1", "2", check System Preferences / Notifications / Messages : badge app icon.

Hey

"Badge app icon" is on, and it's still not showing...whether iMessage is minimized, or closed altogether...no notifications, nothing. :(

EDIT: It seems to work if I don't have the person who's messaging me's message selected already. Ie. If I'm chatting with John and I have his messages open and he sends me a message, I won't get ANY notification.

If I select another person's messages and get a message from John, THEN it will give me a badge icon.

I'm also not getting any popups in the top right hand corner like I used to in ML...and yes it is selected in the notification options to be on...
