Hi all,

iMessage on my computer for whatever reason refuses to work. It works when I'm at university on the network there and it worked for about 5 minutes last night while at home. My iPhone sends and receives iMessages without an issue and my housemates who use MBPs are all able to use theirs just fine.

Basically whenever I send a message, it'll sit for a while, then fail with the little red exclamation mark. Also, none of the new messages from my phone are syncing with iMessage.

Here is what I've done:

1. Deleted flash local storage via preferences
2. Deleted the .plist files from library/preferences
3. Restarted my computer many times
4. Restarted messages many times
5. Enable/disable my Apple ID in imessages>preferences
6. Signed out/in iCloud on the whole computer
7. Tried to log into iMessage on a guest account; when I try that I get an error saying please try again later and there is a problem with your internet connection. But as I'm writing this I'm also streaming music on Spotify and torrenting so that is intact
For the record, I have tried stopping all other internet activity while trying this to exclude torrents or other internet traffic as a cause...I'm desperate :p

Any suggestions would be great! My OS X is up to date via the app store. I recently installed iTunes 11.1, but I'm not sure why that would affect it.
