When I send messages from iOS 8 or Yosemite to an iOS 7 user, they don't seem to arrive, but I do get the message 'delivered'. The messages do sync between my devices. Is this the same behaviour you are seeing—if you still have the same problem?

It seems like iMessage is working SLIGHTLY better in iOS 8 (3) than in beta-2, but only slightly.

I have mine freeze and quit working; the first stage is to close the app (from double-tapping the button); if that doesn't work I restart the phone.

This morning, I was having all kinds of problems: not being able to connect to WiFi, the Phone app was saying I had missed calls (which I didn't). I rebooted the phone and presto! All is working again.

Gotta love them betas.

iMessage just works most of the time, and every once in a while it will sends an sms but normally gets back in the cloud soon enough.

iMessage still not working here. Says waiting for activation. Rebooted also turned on and off iMessage and still not working. Also reset network settings to. Hopefully beta 4 will be out Monday.

Thanks

mine as well stops at least once a day..ask to try again or send as text msg..after a while it will just work again! bring a better fix in Beta 4!!

I'm aware of that dude :D I've been beta testing since iOS 5. Just wanted to know if it was a bug or a general problem for everyone...

I get where you are coming from and did not mean to come off snobby, I was merely just saying as you very well know that with a beta...Anything can happen. :)

Can we please stop the knee jerk “it’s a beta” posts? They are not helpful and people here are AWARE they are using betas. Sharing bugs doesn’t equal whining that a beta should be as usable as a full release.

Trust me, we KNOW we are using betas.

That said, b3 has been worse for me than b2.

iMessage doesn't work on regular iOS' all the time. its not a beta issue

turn iMessage off in settings /messages
then go to
settings / itunes and app store
tap apple ID - sign out
then go into
settings / general / reset / reset network settings
iphone will restart
connect to wifi again if you want
then go to
sign back into settings / iTunes and app store
turn on iMessage
