I have noticed that when I'm using my Mac Pro, my iPhone (XS Max) screen no longer lights up and makes a sound when I receive text messages. Someone will message me, and nothing happens to the phone, but when I go wake the phone up there is a banner notification as usual on the lock screen. This has caused me to miss texts constantly.

I thought maybe it was when I was on the computer with the Messages app open, but it happens even when I close it. It seems like simply being on the computer causes it, but I'm somewhat guessing as I haven't done a ton of tests bugging other people to keep trying different things.

Does anybody else have this issue or know how I can fix it?

For privacy reasons I don't want text message notifications to appear on-screen on the computer, so I have that disabled.
