iMessage Notifications

I just set up my series 7 today and for some reason all of my messages aren't showing on my watch. And when I have a new message it's not showing in the little icon on the watch face.

I would try restarting the Apple Watch and iPhone. I would have this issue (maybe once ever few months) and that would resolve it.

To confirm, when the iMessage comes in, are you using the phone at the time?

So I think it’s because the message that I got has the alerts hidden on my iPhone so it didn’t notify me on the watch. However the messages (with alerts hidden) don’t show up at all on my watch when I look at my messages.
