Hello,

I have iMessage set up on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad 2, with the exact same email address. I want to do the thing that Apple advertised, where I can 'pick up where i left off'. However, my iPhone tends to ignore using my email address, instead, it uses my phone number only.

So, if I were to iMessage someone from my iPhone, and also my iPad, they would receive it in two different threads, one from my number, and one from my email.

Any way to fix it?

They're both running iOS5 GM.

Thanks!

Not at the moment, but this is why I told all of my friends to only text me to my email address going forward.

Settings > Messages > Receive at > Caller ID > change to your email address that you have on your iPad.
