Ive seen other posts about this a few months ago but I only recently started having this issue the other day so I wonder if there's some new problem. The sync now button doesn't seem to work and my messages are days old. is anyone else experiencing this and if you have a fix please let me know!

I would begin by making sure that Messages is enabled in your iCloud settings on your iOS device and in the Messages app on macOS.
I have noticed one or two brief intermittent delays in synching from my iPhone to my iMac on macOS 11.1/iOS 14.3, but I'm talking like a few seconds delay, not days.
