Hello,

my iMessage and Facetime wont activate. Is this common on the Pangu Jailbreak?

check your settings on imessage. Mine somehow were set to the email and I was having issues.

Check your date and make sure its set to auto. Changing the date causes weird issues with iFessage/FaceTime. I used 1.1 and everything is fine here.

It is. Everything is set the way its supposed to be but it still says waiting for activation.

Have you noticed any other issues, post jailbreak?

No other issues. This issue has nothing to do with the Jailbreak actually.

I talked to Apple and when I jailbroke last night my phone "bricked" on the apple logo and I tried to use iCloud to wipe my phone and when that happens apparently you have to wait 24 hours for imessage to activate again.

I will check back in to let you know.

I see.. That activation can be a bit of a pain sometimes. I've had similar issues in the past, and left it activating, checked it later, and all was good. Good luck!

It is a pain in the ass. But I hope it gets resolved soon!

FYI my other half's iMessage failed to activate a few hours ago and her phone isn't jail broken. May have just been a glitch with apple's backend.

If your phone got stuck at the apple logo why would you try to remote wipe it with icloud instead of just restoring it with itunes?
And if Apple told you to wait 24 hours because of the remote wipe command then why would you still be asking if its a JB issue?

I don't know if it's even remotely related, but my iMessages automatically deactivated last night without me doing anything. FaceTime also signed out. I'm still on 7.1.2 JB though.

In iMessage settings I can choose tel number and AppleID to receive messages. If I deselect appleid I can not send and receive imessage to my tel number. why?

Simple answers:

I tried to DFU the phone 3 times and panicked honestly. Stupid rook move.

Apple only told me to wait 24 hours after I had jail broken and noticed or was an issue.
