Yes, but I have continually read that iMessages are linked by UDID, so a device will continue to receive them even after it has been wiped.

Click to expand... iPhones have an issue where you supposedly need to turn off (DISABLE!) iMessage on the iPhone before wiping and selling/giving it away. However, I have not heard that iPads are also affected.
