I moved over from BB 9930 Bold to a 4S. Last night my iMessages came back un-delivered. I tapped on them and a box opened up. It asked for a password. I enterd my apple ID and now it works. I was searching this forum and see that if the phone gets lost or stolen the iMessage lives on in the phone.

Is that true? If I get another iPhone 4S 64 Gig (have the 16) will this be an issue? How do you properly disconnect the iMessage service from a phone that is ion you possesion or no longer in your possesion.

thanks.

What is the purpose of having to sign into a message service anyway?
