I'm running iOS 9.1 BETA on both my iPhone 6 and iPad Air2. When I open SETTINGS and drill down to MESSAGES and select to "turn on" iMessage it does so freely without verifying with another device. However, a text is sent to my iPhone stating that David's iPad Air 2 is now using iMessage. Point is there is no verification step unlike its predecessors. I see this as a major security/privacy issue. Has anyone seen this and and is there a solution?

Eek, I will go test this later, but yes, I was kinda expecting some sort of popup when I started using iMessage. Were you already logged into iCloud this time, or .. was it an upgrade? This popup trust thing for me only used to show when I fresh installed the OS and didn't fully upgrade the iPad.
