iMessage sometimes not work

On Mavericks sometimes i don't get notification that i receive a new message.
But if i open the message is there. Any solutions? Or we have to wait for Apple to fix this?

I'm having the same problem. And I couldn't send any messages through iMessage on my iPhone today.

yes seems the problem is almost there when you imessage app is not active.
I hope apple know already about this

Ditto. It's sporadic. Tried in two user accounts, removing and re-adding the iMessage/Apple ID account, still doesn't fix the issue.

It's most likely a Mavericks bug.

Yep, same here. Was working fine in 10.9, but now not received the notifications in 10.9.1, so hopefully it'll work again in 10.9.2.
