iMessage sometimes unresponsive

Noticed that often when a new message comes in and I launch iMessage, I get an unresponsive window. Have to kill the app a couple times for messages to display. Anyone else?
 
yep i sometimes get black screen have to close or wait until it responds, already submitted the issue
